10 Injured in BCL Infighting at Eden College

A clash broke out between the two factions during the press conference of the Eden College Branch Chhatra League. At this time, the party president and general secretary were also beaten. At least 10 people were injured.

The clash started around 5:30 pm on Sunday (September 25). Police and college administration are trying to control the situation at the time of writing this report.

It is known that Tamanna Jasmin Riva, President of Eden College Branch Chhatra League, was injured in the clash. On the other hand, Summita Baroi, vice-president of another faction's college branch, the Chhatra League, was injured. They are being taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.

A party said that Eden College will continue its stay until the president-general secretary of the Chhatra League is expelled from the campus. Another party is demanding the expulsion of the victims of Saturday's incident from the campus.

Before this, two factions of the College Chhatra League faced each other at around 11 pm on Saturday. Allegation of torture of College Chhatra League vice-president Jannatul Ferdous led to a conflict between President Tamanna Jasmin Riva, Secretary Razia Sultana, and their supporters. Since then there have been frequent chases.

Due to this incident, Eden Women's College Branch Chhatra League President Tamanna Jasmin Riva and General Secretary Razia Sultana have been declared unwanted by a faction of the College Chhatra League.
